The painful lesson of life is… you don’t always matter as much to the people who really matter to you… no matter if it’s rooted in a selfish heart, lust, pride, greed, or lack of loving correctly… this fact remains. We must do our part to pray for those who know not what they do… because God holds the heart of every man in his hands. Only he can do the changing of hearts….we can be a great catalyst to change… but never be the change. Satan often uses those whom we love to attack or hurt us the most, thus we all must remain mindful of this… on both sides… We fight spiritual battles with spiritual tools…
The Bible teaches us–for we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12
As you begin each day… always pray against these evil forces trying to distort your reality, emotions, mind, and heart to believe what feels good is best for you. Often the course God has for you does not always feel good, but at the end of the journey is great joy and happiness if you stand in faith and on his word. Emotions are not your Godly compass… nor is lust… or worldly pleasures. Don’t allow the flesh of pleasure to cloud your reality of God’s will. Walking with God often requires us to swim upstream… against the current…
Always look to the Lord and his strength;seek his face always. 1 Chronicles 16:11.

Great stuff man, keep it coming
This is a hard pill to swallow, but it is definitely true. Thanks for the reminder-this is a battle I tend to forget to fight.
Hello Leslie,
You are very welcome and never stop fighting to do what is right.
This is something that I have been struggling with! I have always despised responding to my emotions and try to check myself before I wreck myself whenever I feel like my emotions are trying to take over. This was SO on time for me today because I was dealing with a situation today where I could have easily let my emotions take over! Thank you so much for sharing!
Great post Quentin!
We all must remember, especially with our loved ones, that although we would love to see them live a better life, forcing them to change will never work! I keep the concept of gardening in my mind…Lord use me to plant a seed OR water it….but cause me to always remember, You will cause the CHANGE [increase]!
Thank you Lahesha you are correct. We have to continue to lift them in prayer
Thank God for His people who constantly remind us of our purpose on earth. Not easy at all.
Quentin, as I was reading this post, I couldn’t help but think of my life right now. If it wasn’t for God, my parents and a select few of my faithful friends, I’d swear that I was on this journey alone. Some close relatives have turned their backs on me because even though 2 Corinthians 5:17 has occurred in my life, they seem to be deep sea fishing in the sea of forgetfulness…I was allowing the lack of love from these relatives and the condescending of others to hinder my growth (buying the lie) but thanks be to God that I’ve chosen to trust Him and count the cost. It doesn’t feel good to the flesh, and there are moments that I cry but I’d rather go forward in Christ and be who He has called me to be because through it all, the is no such thing as “the good life” apart from Him. Thank you for this post!
God always gives us what we need. When we need it…
